53 Degrees North Adventure Festival


The Adventure festival will take place on the 3rd, 4th & 5th of August, the Bank Holiday weekend. The doors will open for camping ticket holders on Friday 3rd August at 3 pm for the duration of the weekend. Day ticket holders will have access to the festival from 8 am until 8 pm on the day of their ticket-either Saturday 4th or Sunday 5th August. The festival will finish up at 8 pm on Sunday 5th August for everyone.

The festival takes place in Lacken, Blessington, Co. Wicklow. Lacken is located right beside the famous Blessington Lakes and is surrounded by the lush, green, Wicklow wilderness.

This ticket will give you access to the festival for the entire weekend which includes 2 nights camping, 4 booked main marquee activities, access to all the walk up and play activities and expert talks, and the Vango tent will be delivered to you when you purchase your ticket. You can also bring 1 under 16-year-old to the festival with you for free per ticket.


The Weekend Camping Ticket will give you access to the festival for the entire weekend which includes 2 nights camping, 4 booked main marquee activities, access to all the walk up and play activities and expert talks. You will need to bring your own tent for the weekend. You can also bring 1 under 16-year-old to the festival with you for free per ticket.


The single day ticket gives you access to the festival on the day of your ticket. This ticket gives you access to 2 booked main marquee activities, access to all the walk up and play activities and expert talks on the day and you can also bring 1 under 16-year-old to the festival with you for free per ticket.


The Additional Under 16 Weekend Camping Ticket can be purchased in addition to either weekend camping ticket options. This allows the under 16-year-old attendee access to the festival for the entire weekend, 2 nights camping, 4 booked main marquee activities, access to the walk up and play activities and expert talks under the supervision of the adult they are attending the festival with.

There are no age restrictions on any of the activities, but each activity provider will gauge the ability of the attendee and decide if the activity is suitable for them.

We have supervised on-site parking. Every ticket holder will have access to a free parking space during their time at the festival.

We have two campsites-one is specifically for families. Each camping ticket entitles you to a 2-night stay in the campsite and a space in the camp to pitch your tent. There will also be access to on-site toilets.

You will need to bring your own tent and any camping equipment you require for your stay.

Yes! Absolutely. The Vango Spey 200 is an easy to pitch 2 man tent worth €110 and if you purchase the weekend camping & tent ticket, it belongs to you!

We have a huge range of activities such as: Camping, Hiking, Hillwalking, Mountain biking, Fat biking, Bushcraft, Archery, Axe throwing, Climbing, Kayaking, Wakeboarding, Sailing, Yoga & Pilates, Nature walks & expert talks, Mindfulness classes.

Certain activities will need to be booked-these are the main marquee activities. After you purchase a ticket you will receive an email which will allow you to book your slot for the marquee activities. These activities include kayaking, hiking, mountain biking, sailing, wake boarding and paddle Boarding. There will also be walk up and play activities. These activities will be running all day, simultaneously and you will not need to book these. These include axe throwing, yoga, Pilates, nature walks and hillwalking. The expert talks are open to everyone and will not need to be booked either.

Each ticket entitles you to bring one under 16-year-old for free. They will need to be under your supervision at all times. Additional under 16 weekend tickets can also be purchased.

Unfortunately, you can’t bring any pets to the festival due to insurance. However, if you require guide or hearing dogs, they are permitted on site.

Camping gear, base layers, waterproof clothing, hiking boots. It depends on the activities you plan on doing. Our expert staff in store can help recommend the gear you need once you decide on your itinerary.

You can indeed. We will have space in the campsite for attendees to park their own camper vans etc.

If there are tickets left on the day, they can be purchased at the entrance booth. We can only accept cash payments for tickets on the day.

Tickets are not refundable and cannot be exchanged.

Helmets, wetsuits and lifejackets will be supplied for technical activities. You will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear and any additional accessories you require such as walking poles and backpacks. Make sure you are prepared with baselayers, rainwear and sun protection. If you need to stock up on anything we have a huge selection of outdoor gear in store and online now. We will also have a selection of outdoor gear for sale at the festival.

We won’t have any cash machines on site, however a small number of food vendors will have the facilities to accept card payments. To be safe, bring cash with your for your stay at the festival.

You can certainly bring your own food and soft drinks with you. There will be a lot of tasty food on site to purchase though. You cannot bring your own alcohol however. You can purchase alcohol at the on site bar from O’Brother Brewing and Glendalough Distillery.
