Durable Hiking Boots: With good ankle support and grip. Comfortable Walking Shoes: For casual strolls or at the campsite. Socks: Moisture-wicking and cushioned socks to prevent blisters and provide comfort. Join us for a day of adventure and history with the 53 Degrees North Adventure Club as we embark on a Heritage Hike at Glendalough About this event Join us for a day of adventure and history with the  53 Degrees North Adventure Club  as we embark on a Heritage Hike at Glendalough, known as the Seven Churches. This scenic hike is not just a journey through the lush landscapes of Ireland, but also a walk through time, exploring the remnants of an ancient past. Event Details: Date & Time: Meeting at 9:30am at the Visitors Centre Car Park at Glendalough. Duration: Approximately 4 - 5 hours. Distance & Elevation: 13 kilometres with a 180 metres height gain. Parking: Weekend car parking charge applies at the Centre. Highlights: Traverse the sites of six ancient churches and the cathedral. Discover the historic mining works. Delve into the rich history of Glendalough. Dog-Friendly: Your furry friends are welcome to join but must be kept on a lead at all times.
