Women's Fontanales Wind Jacket

Exposed sections of a run can feel much colder than sheltered roads or trails, which makes a light wind layer particularly useful when the route keeps changing. The North Face Women's Fontanales Wind Jacket uses breathable WindWall™ fabric to reduce wind chill without adding the weight of a full weatherproof shell.

The 74 g/m² double-weave fabric is made from polyester and remains light enough to carry from the start of a session. WindWall™ construction cuts the effect of moving air while allowing useful breathability, and a non-PFC durable water-repellent finish helps brief showers or spray bead away. This is a wind jacket rather than a waterproof rain shell.

When protection is no longer needed, the entire jacket packs into its own stow pocket. That compact design lets it fit neatly into a running vest, waist pack or day bag without taking space from water, food or other essentials.

The standard shape is designed to sit over a lightweight training top and move comfortably through a running stride. True to size, packable and focused on wind protection, the Fontanales is an easy layer to carry for routes where conditions vary from one section to the next.
