Description

The Tacoma 400 is an 4-man Powerflex® Fibreglass poled tent with a vis-a-vis layout. Airflow vents have been incorporated into the design to increase airflow and ventilation. The Tacoma is designed specifically for campers who prefer more private sleeping areas, with a generous living area in the middle. The living space incorporates a large Diamond Clear window allowing light to pour into the living area during the day with the ability to cover with the roll-away toggled curtains at night. Dynamic Weave 100™ Fabric keeps pack size and weight low, while ensuring Vango quality and durability. The optional side awning provides a functional porch that’s great for storing extra kit.

Highlights

  • Sentinel Fabric - When pack size and weight are the key factors in choosing your tent, our specifically designed Sentinel Fabric will surpass your needs. Sentinel is strong and durable, incorporates our ColourLok Eco technology for superior longevity, and is waterproof to a 4,000mm HH rating, ensuring great quality and performance coupled with compact pack sizes.
  • Dynamic Weave 100™ - Our Dynamic Weave fabric construction creates a strong and durable fabric, designed to last. The fabric is crafted in a cross-hatch construction to make the fabric stronger, and stand up to the rigours of camping.
  • ColourLok Eco - ColourLok Eco technology used in the fabric increases colour retention and protection against UV light while using up to 60% less water in the dying process.
  • Reducing early morning light and allowing for a comfortable nights sleep, these queen sized breathable bedrooms ensure plenty of space with pockets to store your essentials.
  • Vango PowerFlex® Fibreglass Poles - Creates strong, light and reliable structures
  • Oversized Corner Pegs - Large plastic orange corner pegs designed to used first when pitching. These pegs should be pegged into the matching orange webbing points on the tent.
  • SkyTrack® II - A flexible hanging system which allows you to easily attach lighting and storage. The SkyTrack system truly allows you to design your tent to suit your needs
  • Vis a Vis Layout - Two inner tents, at separate ends of the tent give occupants great personal space and privacy
  • TBS®II Tension Band System - Ensures the tent performs in adverse conditions, especially in strong, changeable winds. When tensioned, the bands brace the pole at 3 points, and reduce sideways movement. Adjust TBS®II to remove slack. Do not over tension, as this may deform the poles. Can be stowed away in calm weather. Patented EP1905927
  • Adjustable Pegging System - Allows tent to be pitched perfectly on uneven surfaces
  • Diamond Clear Windows - Maximise light and visibility to provide a bright and airy environment
  • King Pole Side Door Compatible - Increase the external space of your tent with the addition of king poles to create a sun-canopy
  • Adjustable Rear Ventilation - Mesh panel with adjustable cover at rear of tent
  • Vango AirZone - High and low level ventilation panels combine to create a comfortable flow of air through the tent. Air circulation is essential for reducing condensation
  • Lantern Hanging Points - Conveniently positioned to attach your lighting
  • Pre-angled Poles - Achieve greater internal space than with a standard curve. Provides effective bracing against winds
  • Mesh Doors - Both living room doors have integrated mesh panels that increase the flow of air within your tent while keeping bugs out
  • Fully Sewn-in Groundsheet - Adds to the comfort of your tent by providing a bug and draught free environment. The groundsheet is attached to the flysheet with an external storm skirt to provide all round protection
  • High Visibility Guylines - Strong and easy to see in low light conditions, the colour blends from the tent to a bright orange to enhance visibility.
  • Waterproof PE Groundsheet - Robust and hardwearing fabric to stand up to the rigours of the most active campers
  • Drop Down Door Step - Effortlessly enter and exit your tent with the drop down doors. Perfect for pram and wheelchair access
  • Toggled Privacy Curtains - Provides privacy when required, can be rolled away when not in use
  • Bedroom Pockets - Conveniently positioned pockets for storing your essentials
  • Clear Access Bedrooms - A wider opening and no step over into the bedroom allows for easier access
  • Cable Entry Point with Tidies - Zipped entry point for power cable, with touch fastener tidies to keep cables out the way
  • Easy Pack Carry Bag - Oversized carry bag made from 15% more material with 50% more volume
  • Fully Taped Seams - All flysheet seams are factory taped which provides a watertight seal
  • Fully Wind and Rain Tested - Weather tested to standard EN ISO 5912 for peace of mind. This tent is suitable for use in wet weather for occasional and weekend camping. Storms and extreme weather should be avoided

About the brand

Vango

Vango is a Scottish outdoor brand, founded in 1966 in the west of Scotland by Alistair Moodie, its name an anagram of Govan, where it began. Still based near Glasgow at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, it has spent decades designing tents and equipment tested against real Scottish weather.

Vango is best known for pioneering AirBeam inflatable tent technology, which replaces traditional poles with air beams so large family tents can be pitched in minutes, now used across its tents and drive away awnings too. The range covers everything from family and technical trekking tents to sleeping bags, rucksacks, mats and camping furniture, including kit recommended by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Reliability, innovation and usability run through it all.
