Description

Designed for walkers who appreciate more space across the front of the foot, the Meindl Women's Mondello GORE-TEX Walking Shoes use Meindl's Comfort Fit shape to give the toes extra room while holding the heel securely. Extended lacing runs further towards the toe so the fit can be adjusted more precisely, and a high rubber toe bumper helps protect both the foot and the upper on rougher paths.

A suede-and-mesh upper balances durability with flexibility, backed by a GORE-TEX lining that provides waterproof protection while allowing moisture vapour to escape. The Air Active wellness sport footbed adds underfoot comfort, while the Meindl Multi Trail Comfort Sole supports steady grip and cushioning on low-level paths, trails and everyday walks.

About the brand

Meindl

Meindl is a German bootmaker based in Kirchanschoring, in the Bavarian Alps, where the Meindl family has made shoes since Petrus Meindl was recorded as a shoemaker in 1683. The company as it is known today was founded in 1928, and it remains family-run, one of the last boot factories still producing in Germany.

Meindl is best known for hiking and mountain boots, still largely handcrafted from leather by master shoemakers. The brand was among the first to build a GORE-TEX membrane into a boot, and created the A to D terrain grading system used to match footwear to the ground it is made for. Comfort, careful fit and long-lasting, resoleable construction run through the range.
