More ankle coverage can add useful confidence on technical paths without turning a hiking boot into a heavy platform. The Scarpa Women's Ribelle Cross 2 Mid GORE-TEX Boots use a mid-cut ONE-LAYER effect upper made from breathable mesh and TPU overlays, wrapping around the midsole for stability and protection. A 3D Autofit collar follows the ankle's movement for a close, supportive feel, while differentiated lacing combines lower webbing straps with upper hooks for precise adjustment.

A GORE-TEX ePE membrane provides waterproof, breathable protection, and the TPU rand reinforces the boot against abrasion and impacts. The PRESA® HIK-06 sole is developed for medium- to long-distance mountain hikes, using pronounced lugs and enlarged studs for dependable traction across rocky, wet and uneven surfaces. Shock-absorbing cushioning reduces repeated impact, making this a light, dynamic option for fast hiking and technical mountain routes.

About the brand

Scarpa

Scarpa is an Italian footwear brand, founded in 1938 in Asolo, in the Dolomite foothills of northern Italy. The name is an acronym for Societa Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima, and the original idea was to bring together the area's best shoemakers under one roof. Since 1956 it has been owned and run by the Parisotto family, still based in the same part of Italy.

Scarpa is best known for mountaineering boots, rock climbing shoes and ski touring boots, alongside hiking and trail running footwear. It was among the first to design footwear specifically for climbing and mountaineering, and the range still balances traditional Italian craftsmanship with technical innovation and a reputation for durability and fit.
