Description

Rain rarely waits for a convenient moment, so a dependable shell needs to be comfortable enough to keep close at hand. The North Face Men's Quest Waterproof Jacket combines two-layer DryVent™ protection with a straightforward, lightweight design for wet hikes, daily walks, travel and the changeable conditions that come with an Irish forecast.

The seam-sealed shell is waterproof, windproof and breathable, helping block rain and exposed wind while allowing heat and moisture to escape during movement. A durable water-repellent finish encourages droplets to bead away from the polyester outer fabric before it becomes saturated.

The fixed hood adjusts with a shock cord for closer coverage, and a second adjustment at the hem helps reduce draughts when the weather turns. Elasticated cuffs close comfortably around the wrists without bulky tabs. At the front, a water-resistant zip is backed by soft brushed fabric around the neck and chin for comfort when fully fastened.

A mesh body lining improves comfort over lighter clothing, while two zipped hand pockets keep keys, a phone and trail essentials secure. The standard fit leaves useful room for a base layer or lightweight fleece, giving the Quest the versatility to move from mild rainy days into cooler conditions without feeling heavily built.

When rain starts soaking in instead of beading off, a wash with Nikwax brings the water-repellency back rather than replacing the jacket.

About the brand

The North Face

The North Face began in 1966 as a small climbing and camping shop in San Francisco, started by two outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to supply serious adventurers with gear they could trust. It took its name from the coldest, most demanding face of a mountain, and that spirit of pushing boundaries has shaped the brand ever since.

Today The North Face is known worldwide for jackets, footwear and packs built to perform in rain, wind and snow. From forest walks to summit scrambles, its gear is made to protect you through changeable conditions and long days outdoors, whatever Ireland's skies decide to do.

That reliability comes from proven materials and technologies, including GORE-TEX for waterproof, breathable protection and ThermoBall insulation for packable warmth. It is gear designed to keep up, on the trail and off it.
