Description

Active mountain days call for a midlayer that traps useful warmth without holding excessive heat once the route steepens. The North Face Men's Polartec Powergrid Stormgap Jacket combines lightweight Polartec® Power Grid™ performance with stretch and moisture management for mountaineering and hiking.

The gridded structure places insulating fabric against the body while creating channels that encourage airflow and moisture movement. FlashDry™ technology helps perspiration travel towards the surface, and elastane gives the jacket freedom through reaches and high steps.

A full-length front zip makes temperature control immediate, while elastic at the cuffs and waist keeps the standard fit in position beneath a waterproof shell. Without a hood, the collar layers cleanly beneath helmet straps and additional mountain protection.

Zipped hand pockets and a secure chest pocket organise food, a phone and smaller essentials. The Stormgap Jacket is a focused, low-bulk midlayer for active use rather than a heavy fleece intended for static winter warmth.
