Description

Severe alpine weather demands a shell that protects without obstructing the movement, equipment access and ventilation needed on technical routes. The North Face Men's Summit Cayesh GORE-TEX Pro Jacket uses three-layer protection and climbing-led construction for mountaineering and exposed ascents.

GORE-TEX® Pro recycled-nylon ripstop is waterproof, windproof and breathable, with a non-PFC water-repellent finish helping the face fabric resist saturation. Zipped underarm vents and a micro-perforated internal draft flap release heat while the shell remains in place.

The adjustable hood fits over a climbing helmet, and articulated patterning supports reaches and high steps. A two-way YKK® AquaGuard® front zip works around a harness, while hook-and-loop cuff tabs and the adjustable hem close down protection in exposed conditions.

Two alpine pockets remain accessible around a pack or harness and include useful internal organisation. A separate zipped chest pocket and mesh drop pocket add secure storage, while brushed tricot at the chin and neck improves comfort through long periods of wear.
