Description

Longer trail runs demand enough water and spare gear to stay self-sufficient, but the load still needs to remain close and stable as the pace changes. The North Face Sunriser Run Vest 8 provides eight litres of storage around a breathable harness, with two 500 ml soft flasks included so hydration is ready from the first run.

Both flasks sit at the front for quick access, alongside two snack pockets and a secure zipped pocket that can hold a larger phone. Side compression adjusts the vest around the torso and pulls the load inward, helping reduce bounce on descents and faster sections.

A dedicated rear sleeve accepts a two-litre hydration reservoir and routes the hose internally. The zipped back compartment and external bungee provide room for food, a water filter or a spare layer, while the rear carrying system secures trekking poles between climbs.

Soft polyester air mesh sits comfortably against the body, stretch mesh supports the front pockets and water-repellent nylon ripstop forms the pack section. Reflective rear accents, five practical pockets and an integrated whistle complete a running vest designed for distance, changing weather and technical trail days.

Worth knowing the two 500ml soft flasks come in the box, so you can run straight out the door. There's a separate sleeve inside if you'd rather carry a 2L bladder.

About the brand

The North Face

The North Face began in 1966 as a small climbing and camping shop in San Francisco, started by two outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to supply serious adventurers with gear they could trust. It took its name from the coldest, most demanding face of a mountain, and that spirit of pushing boundaries has shaped the brand ever since.

Today The North Face is known worldwide for jackets, footwear and packs built to perform in rain, wind and snow. From forest walks to summit scrambles, its gear is made to protect you through changeable conditions and long days outdoors, whatever Ireland's skies decide to do.

That reliability comes from proven materials and technologies, including GORE-TEX for waterproof, breathable protection and ThermoBall insulation for packable warmth. It is gear designed to keep up, on the trail and off it.
