As one of our heaviest base layer tops and best base layers for cold weather, this garment uses 100% responsibly sourced Merino wool, shoulder panels, and a flatlock seam construction to help minimize chafing as well as help keep you comfortable and temperature-regulated as you enjoy high-intensity skiing, hiking, running, and more.

About the brand

Smartwool

Smartwool is an American brand, founded in 1994 in Steamboat Springs, Colorado by ski instructors Peter and Patty Duke. Frustrated by cold, wet feet on the slopes, they turned to merino wool and created the first performance merino ski socks, changing what outdoor people expected from their socks.
