Description

Technical movement is easier when a midlayer stretches with you rather than fighting every reach. The Berghaus Men's Pravitale MTN 2.0 Hooded Jacket uses stretch fabric through the body and cuffs to support unrestricted movement, making it well suited to hiking, scrambling and climbing. Its close-fitting hood sits neatly around the head to reduce exposed gaps in colder, windier conditions without creating excess bulk beneath another layer.

Thumb loops help keep the sleeves in place and limit cold air entering at the wrists, while a reverse-coil YKK® front zip provides a clean, secure closure. Two front hand-warmer pockets can also be opened to increase airflow during harder efforts, and a bonded zipped sleeve pocket gives additional storage for a small essential. Robust enough to wear as a standalone fleece yet streamlined enough for an alpine layering system, the Pravitale balances warmth, mobility and ventilation.

About the brand

Berghaus

Berghaus is a British outdoor brand, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1966 by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. Frustrated by the gear available at the time, they began designing their own, and named the brand Berghaus, German for mountain house. Decades of innovation followed, tested on the rain-soaked fells of northern England.

Berghaus was the first brand in Europe to use GORE-TEX and the maker of the pioneering Cyclops internal-frame rucksack. Today it produces waterproof jackets, fleeces, insulated layers, baselayers and packs for men, women and children. Much of the performance comes from its own technology, including AQ2 waterproofing and the Extrem range built for the most demanding conditions.
