Description

High-strength carbon fibre poles give the Vango F10 Classic UL 2-Person Tent the rigidity of its traditional A-frame shape while keeping pole weight down for trekking and camping. It pitches inner-first for straightforward setup and takedown, and the inner can also be used on its own in warmer conditions.

The inner mixes breathable mesh with lightweight ripstop nylon to improve ventilation and limit condensation. A partial-mesh door adds airflow and insect protection. For storage, the porch shelters larger gear while internal pockets hold smaller essentials; the Fast Pack bag opens wide at the top and closes with a drawcord, with compression straps helping reduce packed bulk.

The 10D Protex 10.SRN flysheet carries a hydrostatic-head rating of 3,000 mm, with silicone and PU reinforcing its ripstop nylon construction. Below it, a 20D ripstop nylon groundsheet is rated to 6,000 mm and extends 10 cm above the floor line to form a bathtub profile, with silicone and PU coating for additional protection. Factory-taped seams across the flysheet and groundsheet add weather protection.

High-strength Dyneema-core guylines pair with one-hand tension adjusters, while the anodised alloy V pegs measure 16 cm for anchoring on varied ground. Reflective details at the pegging points make them easier to see in low light. EN ISO 5912 rain testing supports its use in wet and windy weather. It is not intended for cautionary-level storms or extreme weather.

About the brand

Vango

Vango is a Scottish outdoor brand, founded in 1966 in the west of Scotland by Alistair Moodie, its name an anagram of Govan, where it began. Still based near Glasgow at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, it has spent decades designing tents and equipment tested against real Scottish weather.

Vango is best known for pioneering AirBeam inflatable tent technology, which replaces traditional poles with air beams so large family tents can be pitched in minutes, now used across its tents and drive away awnings too. The range covers everything from family and technical trekking tents to sleeping bags, rucksacks, mats and camping furniture, including kit recommended by the Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Reliability, innovation and usability run through it all.
