Description

High-alpine climbing requires waterproof protection that remains breathable through sustained movement and carefully placed around the areas that generate the most heat. The North Face Men's Summit Futurelight Torre Egger Waterproof Jacket combines three-layer FUTURELIGHT™ fabric with targeted lighter panels for technical mountain use.

The waterproof, windproof and air-permeable construction uses durable recycled-nylon ripstop through the main body, with lighter FUTURELIGHT™ panels at the hood, underarms and back. Zipped underarm vents and laser-cut perforations at the draft flap and collar release additional heat during steep effort.

An adjustable helmet-compatible hood uses a bonded brim to protect the face without obstructing vision. Articulated patterning and seamless shoulders support unrestricted movement and reduce pressure beneath backpack straps.

Two zipped chest pockets include bumper stops, with an internal gear loop and mesh pouch inside the left pocket. Two internal mesh drop pockets organise gloves and other essentials, while adjustable cuffs and an internal hem cord refine the weather seal.

About the brand

The North Face

The North Face began in 1966 as a small climbing and camping shop in San Francisco, started by two outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to supply serious adventurers with gear they could trust. It took its name from the coldest, most demanding face of a mountain, and that spirit of pushing boundaries has shaped the brand ever since.

Today The North Face is known worldwide for jackets, footwear and packs built to perform in rain, wind and snow. From forest walks to summit scrambles, its gear is made to protect you through changeable conditions and long days outdoors, whatever Ireland's skies decide to do.

That reliability comes from proven materials and technologies, including GORE-TEX for waterproof, breathable protection and ThermoBall insulation for packable warmth. It is gear designed to keep up, on the trail and off it.
