Technical ground can strike the foot from above, below and from either side, so protection needs to extend beyond a waterproof membrane. The North Face Women's Offtrail Hike GORE-TEX Waterproof Shoes combine a reinforced Cordura® upper, integrated rock guard and stable rubber wrapping for wet hikes across rough, loose and uneven terrain.

A PFAS-free GORE-TEX® membrane keeps rain and surface water outside while remaining breathable and windproof. Cordura® ripstop is overlasted around the forefoot, with a ballistic-rubber toe cap, nubuck reinforcements and TPU overlays shielding areas exposed to rock and trail debris.

The padded collar, tongue and reinforced heel cup hold the foot securely through longer days, while ghillie loops and two metal eyelets allow the lacing tension to be adjusted precisely. A heel pull loop makes the shoes easier to put on and remove.

Under the forefoot, an integrated SKYCORE rock guard protects against sharp terrain. Rubber wraps increase lateral stability, and the durable Surface CTRL® outsole provides traction across wet, loose and unpredictable surfaces. The result is a low-cut hiking shoe with the protection needed for routes that move well beyond smooth tracks.
