The Columbia Kids' Tech Trail Utility Hiking Shorts listing brings together two closely related Columbia constructions, both using quick-drying 95% polyester / 5% elastane fabric with Omni-Shield™ water-and-stain repellency and drainage holes for active days around trails and water.

Tuscan variants — Boys' style 2117141: these use belt loops and an interior adjustable waistband, with hand pockets, a hook-and-loop cargo pocket, hook-and-loop back pockets and a utility loop.

Collegiate Navy variants — Girls' style 2117151: these use an elastic, drawcord-adjustable waist, with hand pockets, a reverse-entry side pocket, hook-and-loop cargo storage and a utility loop. Columbia classifies this style as a regular fit and notes that it runs large, so consider sizing down.
