Extra ankle support for uneven ground makes the Meindl Women's Respond Mid II GORE-TEX Walking Boots a versatile choice for tracks, trails and active travel. The velour leather and mesh upper balances durability with breathability, while a GORE-TEX lining keeps the boot waterproof and breathable.

Meindl's AIR-ACTIVE® footbed helps manage comfort inside the boot, while the deep-profile outsole provides grip and stability across mixed terrain. The sole uses 22% recycled rubber from production offcuts, and the complete boot weighs 360 g.

The Respond Mid II GORE-TEX Walking Boots feature advanced technology including a GORE-TEX lining and an Air-Active footbed which means the boot is waterproof and breathable.

A notable feature of the Respond Mid II GTX is the aggressive Meindl sole unit which has a deep profile for excellent grip and stability. The sole unit is made from 22% recycled rubber which makes the Respond Mid II a sustainable option. Meindl uses rubber offcuts from their production and therefore they can reduce raw material usage and transport.

The rubber has been designed to maintain the well known Meindl quality level of abrasion and grip. This boot is ideal for tracks, trails and adventurous travels.

About the brand

Meindl

Meindl is a German bootmaker based in Kirchanschoring, in the Bavarian Alps, where the Meindl family has made shoes since Petrus Meindl was recorded as a shoemaker in 1683. The company as it is known today was founded in 1928, and it remains family-run, one of the last boot factories still producing in Germany.

Meindl is best known for hiking and mountain boots, still largely handcrafted from leather by master shoemakers. The brand was among the first to build a GORE-TEX membrane into a boot, and created the A to D terrain grading system used to match footwear to the ground it is made for. Comfort, careful fit and long-lasting, resoleable construction run through the range.
