But as you use your boots, the outer fabric or leather collects dirt and contaminants that attract water. How to Use Nikwax Footwear Cleaning Gel™

Important: Shake well before use. For sponge applicator, press down to break seal before use.

Brush Application

Rinse item with clean water to remove excess dirt and dampen the surface.
Apply product and gently scrub using the brush applicator.
Rinse well with clean water.
If required, apply the appropriate Nikwax water-based waterproofing or conditioner while footwear is still damp.
Allow footwear to dry naturally before use.

Drying Instructions

Always allow footwear to dry naturally at room temperature.
Stuff paper into the toes to absorb excess moisture, replacing when wet.
Keep footwear away from direct heat sources such as fires or radiators — drying too quickly can crack leather and damage bonded soles.
