Description

When rain arrives mid-walk, overtrousers need to go on quickly without forcing you to stop and remove your footwear. The Berghaus Men's Hillwalker 2.0 Waterproof Trousers use two-layer GORE-TEX ePE, a waterproof and breathable construction rated to a 28,000mm hydrostatic head for strong resistance to sustained rain. A RET breathability rating of 13 helps manage moisture as effort levels rise.

Long two-way side zips make the trousers easier to pull on and provide additional ventilation when required, with storm flaps and snap closures at the hems adding weather protection. Articulated knees give more room to move, while the front waist cord and adjustable hems help secure the fit over walking layers. An internal stash pocket also allows the trousers to pack down neatly when the weather clears.

About the brand

Berghaus

Berghaus is a British outdoor brand, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1966 by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. Frustrated by the gear available at the time, they began designing their own, and named the brand Berghaus, German for mountain house. Decades of innovation followed, tested on the rain-soaked fells of northern England.

Berghaus was the first brand in Europe to use GORE-TEX and the maker of the pioneering Cyclops internal-frame rucksack. Today it produces waterproof jackets, fleeces, insulated layers, baselayers and packs for men, women and children. Much of the performance comes from its own technology, including AQ2 waterproofing and the Extrem range built for the most demanding conditions.
