Description

Technical trail miles feel more responsive in the Hoka Men's Speedgoat 7 Running Shoes, which use super-critically foamed EVA to increase energy return while retaining protective cushioning. A lightweight recycled-polyester woven upper works with a stretchy dynamic vamp to accommodate movement through the forefoot, while the lay-flat dual-gusseted tongue helps keep the fit secure over uneven ground.

Vibram® Megagrip with Traction Lug combines a high-grip rubber compound with shaped tread elements for stronger bite, backed by 5mm lugs and an updated orientation designed for mixed terrain. Gaiter integration helps create extra defence against trail debris when paired with compatible gaiters, while a heel pull tab and reflective details add practical finishing touches. The 5mm heel-to-toe drop keeps the platform close to the trail without giving up cushioning.

About the brand

Hoka

Hoka, originally Hoka One One, is a running brand founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, two trail runners who had previously worked at Salomon. They wanted a shoe that let them run downhill faster and with less fatigue, so they went against the minimalist trend of the time and built in far more cushioning. The name comes from a Maori phrase meaning to fly over the earth.

That maximalist idea, an oversized midsole with soft, deep cushioning, is still what Hoka is known for. Paired with a rocker-shaped sole that smooths each stride, it helps reduce impact over long distances. The range now covers road and trail running, walking and recovery footwear for every kind of runner.
