Description

A low-cut mountain shoe can feel much more agile on faster days without sacrificing the protection needed on technical terrain. The Scarpa Women's Ribelle Cross 2 GORE-TEX Shoes use a ONE-LAYER effect upper made from technical mesh and TPU, wrapping around the midsole to add stability while keeping the construction light and flexible. A protective TPU rand guards high-wear areas, while the GORE-TEX ePE membrane forms a waterproof, breathable barrier for wet-weather hiking.

Underfoot, the PRESA® HIK-06 sole uses pronounced lugs and enlarged studs to maintain grip and stability across rocky, wet and uneven surfaces. A shock-absorbing midsole cushions longer outings and the lace system is shaped to spread pressure more evenly across the upper. Scarpa's EXO support structure helps contain the foot laterally, giving the shoe the secure feel needed for fast hikes, approaches and varied mountain routes.

The midsole is the result of a meticulous research of materials, density and inserts to create the right compromise between control, precision and comfort. In the study of tread design, the key is the correct position of the self-cleaning plugs and channels, to satisfy the needs of thrust and braking and ensure effective cleaning of the sole from debris. The compounds are specifically designed for the outdoor world, with the objective of obtaining maximum performance in all weather conditions and on all types of terrain, without compromising the duration.

About the brand

Scarpa

Scarpa is an Italian footwear brand, founded in 1938 in Asolo, in the Dolomite foothills of northern Italy. The name is an acronym for Societa Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima, and the original idea was to bring together the area's best shoemakers under one roof. Since 1956 it has been owned and run by the Parisotto family, still based in the same part of Italy.

Scarpa is best known for mountaineering boots, rock climbing shoes and ski touring boots, alongside hiking and trail running footwear. It was among the first to design footwear specifically for climbing and mountaineering, and the range still balances traditional Italian craftsmanship with technical innovation and a reputation for durability and fit.
