Description

Strong sun and biting insects demand more than a standard brimmed hat. The Trekmates Borneo Hat combines lightweight Supplex polyamide with a breathable mesh lining, a UPF 40+ rating and a wide 7 cm brim to protect the head and shade the face during warm-weather hiking, walking and travel.

A darker underbrim helps reduce glare, while the wicking browband manages perspiration. The outer fabric carries a midge- and mosquito-repellent treatment guaranteed for five washes, and a fine insect net stores inside the crown until needed. A one-handed rear adjuster and removable chin cord help keep the fit secure in changing conditions.
