Description

Reliable rain protection does not need to come with a complicated design. The Berghaus Men's RG Alpha 2.0 Waterproof Jacket uses Hydroshell®, Berghaus' waterproof and breathable fabric technology, to keep rain out while allowing moisture vapour to escape. Its 12,250mm hydrostatic-head rating provides substantial resistance to water pressure, while the covered centre-front zip adds another barrier against driven rain.

An adjustable hood can be rolled away when the weather settles, giving the jacket a cleaner profile between showers. Adjustable cuffs and hem help close out draughts and rain, while two hand-warmer pockets keep everyday essentials accessible. The straightforward construction makes it a practical waterproof shell for hill walks, commuting and regular outdoor use.

About the brand

Berghaus

Berghaus is a British outdoor brand, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1966 by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. Frustrated by the gear available at the time, they began designing their own, and named the brand Berghaus, German for mountain house. Decades of innovation followed, tested on the rain-soaked fells of northern England.

Berghaus was the first brand in Europe to use GORE-TEX and the maker of the pioneering Cyclops internal-frame rucksack. Today it produces waterproof jackets, fleeces, insulated layers, baselayers and packs for men, women and children. Much of the performance comes from its own technology, including AQ2 waterproofing and the Extrem range built for the most demanding conditions.
