Description

The Garmin Forerunner 170 GPS Running Smartwatch gives you personalised training plans and advanced training metrics on a bright AMOLED touchscreen. Battery life runs up to 10 days in smartwatch mode, so it stays on your wrist through a full week of training.

Garmin Coach plans adjust every day around your recovery and health data, and the beginner plans include run/walk sessions with lower training volume. Training readiness gives you a clear steer on how hard to go, while HRV status reads your heart rate variability overnight.

Course planner lets you map out checkpoints and aid stations before an event. PacePro then gives you GPS-based pacing for the course or distance you've chosen, so race day doesn't come down to guesswork.

Garmin Pay covers contactless payments from the wrist, and you can follow Google Maps turn-by-turn directions on the watch with an Android phone. Incident detection can send your live location to chosen contacts when the watch is paired with your phone.
