Description

The Garmin Forerunner 970 pairs a bright AMOLED display with a sapphire crystal lens, and it's got a built-in LED flashlight too. You can take calls through your paired phone with the built-in speaker and microphone, or switch on the flashlight by voice.

Running Tolerance shows how each run affects your body and suggests a weekly mileage limit, so you can build volume without overdoing it. Training Readiness turns your sleep and recovery into a daily score, and Garmin Coach gives you running and cycling plans.

Built-in full-colour maps with turn-by-turn directions keep you on course on city streets and trails, while SatIQ technology and multi-band GPS improve positioning accuracy. Battery lasts up to 26 hours in GPS mode.

You can add the HRM 600 chest strap, sold separately, to unlock Running Economy and Step Speed Loss for a closer look at your form. Triathlon and multisport profiles record your splits automatically, and Garmin Pay handles contactless payments with participating providers.
