How should these trousers fit?
Comfortable at the waist without a belt, and loose enough through the leg that the fabric hangs rather than clings. The elasticated or drawcord waist on most styles lets you set the fit, so go by the hip measurement rather than a usual waist size.
Are they suitable for hot weather?
Yes. A loose, breathable trouser is often cooler than bare legs in strong sun, since it shades the skin while letting air circulate. That is why light, wide-legged trousers are standard wear in genuinely hot climates.
Will they crease in a suitcase?
Light summer fabrics crease, but these are relaxed styles where a few soft creases look intended rather than untidy. Rolling rather than folding, and hanging them up on arrival, sorts out the worst of it.
How do I wash them?
Cool wash with similar colours, and hang to dry rather than tumbling, which is what sets creases into light fabric and shrinks it. Following the care label protects both the colour and the drape.
