Description

Get generous two-person space without pushing pack weight too far with the MSR Hubba Hubba LT 2. The freestanding design provides a 2.95 m² rectangular floor, 102 cm of peak height and two side-entry vestibules with 1.48 m² of combined storage area, giving both sleepers useful room for pads, packs and everyday camp organisation.

The tent uses a lightweight DAC NFL pole structure with a mostly micromesh inner for airflow and clear-night stargazing. Two StayDry™ vestibule doors include rain gutters and kickstand vents, while overhead gear lofts, cable-port pockets and an included clothesline keep smaller items organised. Minimum weight is 1.36 kg, packaged weight is 1.54 kg and packed size is 51 x 14 cm.

About the brand

MSR

MSR, short for Mountain Safety Research, is an American brand founded in 1969 in Seattle by engineer and lifelong mountaineer Larry Penberthy. It began not as a product but as a crusade: Penberthy started testing climbing equipment and publishing a safety newsletter after finding that gear was often failing when it mattered most.

That obsession with reliability became a company known for hard-wearing, technical kit. MSR built its name on backcountry stoves, starting with the Model 9 in 1973 and later the WhisperLite, and went on to make water filters, snowshoes and tents trusted on expeditions worldwide. Now part of Cascade Designs and still based in Seattle, MSR makes lightweight, engineering-led gear for everyone from weekend campers to serious mountaineers.
