Description

A 1.01 kg trail weight and three-minute pitch make the Vango F10 Banshee UL 1 Person Tent a light, fast solo trekking shelter. Its tunnel construction keeps overall weight down while retaining useful internal volume, and the inner can stay clipped to the flysheet for quick all-in-one pitching or be left out when you only need the flysheet as a simple shelter.

PowerLite Plus Poles use compact 7001-T6 alloy and angled pre-bends to balance strength with low weight while opening up more room inside. Protex 10.SRN uses 10 denier ripstop nylon reinforced with silicone and PU, with a 3,000 mm hydrostatic-head rating and PFC-free construction. Underneath, 20 denier ripstop nylon with a silicone and PU coating gives the groundsheet a 6,000 mm rating, while its bathtub profile rises 10 cm up the inner to help protect the sleeping area from wet ground and runoff.

The TBS Pro Tension Band System creates internal triangulation between the pole peak and tent base, reducing sideways deformation and adding stability in high winds. Factory-taped flysheet and groundsheet seams, Dyneema-core guylines, one-hand guyline adjusters and 16 cm anodised alloy V pegs support a secure pitch, with reflective pegging points easier to spot in low light.

Ripstop nylon and breathable mesh in the inner increase ventilation and help reduce condensation, while the partially meshed door keeps airflow moving and internal pockets keep essentials close. A single porch gives covered gear storage, and the Fast Pack bag uses a wide top opening, drawcord and compression straps to make packing away easier. The Banshee UL1 is rain tested to EN ISO 5912 and is suitable for wet and windy weather. Avoid cautionary-level storms and extreme weather.

About the brand

Vango

Vango is a Scottish outdoor brand, founded in 1966 in the west of Scotland by Alistair Moodie, its name an anagram of Govan, where it began. Still based near Glasgow at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, it has spent decades designing tents and equipment tested against real Scottish weather.
