Description

Packable rain protection is most useful when it can go on quickly over the rest of your walking kit. The Berghaus Women's Pacsmart 2.5L Waterproof Trousers use Pertex® Shield Pro 2.5-layer fabric, combining a 30,000mm hydrostatic-head rating with 13,000g/m²/24hrs breathability for strong protection from rain while allowing moisture vapour to escape. The lightweight polyamide construction keeps bulk down when the trousers are carried in a pack.

Three-quarter-length side zips make them easier to pull on over walking shoes or boots and can also be opened for extra ventilation during harder efforts. Double press studs add security at the openings, while an elasticated waistband provides a straightforward, adaptable fit over other layers. A supplied stuff sac keeps the overtrousers compact between showers, making them a practical shell layer for changeable walking conditions.

About the brand

Berghaus

Berghaus is a British outdoor brand, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1966 by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. Frustrated by the gear available at the time, they began designing their own, and named the brand Berghaus, German for mountain house. Decades of innovation followed, tested on the rain-soaked fells of northern England.

Berghaus was the first brand in Europe to use GORE-TEX and the maker of the pioneering Cyclops internal-frame rucksack. Today it produces waterproof jackets, fleeces, insulated layers, baselayers and packs for men, women and children. Much of the performance comes from its own technology, including AQ2 waterproofing and the Extrem range built for the most demanding conditions.
