Description

Daily road mileage is easier to settle into when cushioning feels soft without making transitions sluggish. The Hoka Men's Clifton 11 Running Shoes use a compression-moulded EVA midsole for plush impact absorption, while Smooth MetaRocker™ shapes the sole into a curved profile that helps the foot roll naturally from landing into toe-off. A rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame™ seats the heel within the midsole platform for a more supported feel.

The engineered mesh upper keeps the fit light and breathable, with a double-lace lock helping keep the tongue centred through repeated miles. An open-cell sockliner adds step-in comfort, reflective details improve visibility in lower light, and durable abrasion rubber protects the outsole where road wear is highest. The listed weight is 283g with an 8mm heel-to-toe drop, making the Clifton 11 a balanced cushioned trainer for regular running.

About the brand

Hoka

Hoka, originally Hoka One One, is a running brand founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, two trail runners who had previously worked at Salomon. They wanted a shoe that let them run downhill faster and with less fatigue, so they went against the minimalist trend of the time and built in far more cushioning. The name comes from a Maori phrase meaning to fly over the earth.

That maximalist idea, an oversized midsole with soft, deep cushioning, is still what Hoka is known for. Paired with a rocker-shaped sole that smooths each stride, it helps reduce impact over long distances. The range now covers road and trail running, walking and recovery footwear for every kind of runner.
