Description

A light, cushioned platform makes the Hoka Women's Clifton 11 Running Shoes an easy choice for consistent road training. Compression-moulded EVA softens repeated impact beneath the foot, while Smooth MetaRocker™ uses curved sole geometry to guide the stride forward through a fluid heel-to-toe transition. Hoka's rearfoot-focused Active Foot Frame™ places the heel within the midsole structure for a more supported landing.

An engineered mesh upper balances breathability with a close, lightweight hold, and a double-lace lock helps prevent the tongue shifting during longer runs. An open-cell sockliner adds underfoot comfort, while reflective details and abrasion-resistant rubber improve everyday practicality. At a listed 236g with an 8mm heel-to-toe drop, the Clifton 11 keeps generous cushioning in a relatively light daily trainer.

About the brand

Hoka

Hoka, originally Hoka One One, is a running brand founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, two trail runners who had previously worked at Salomon. They wanted a shoe that let them run downhill faster and with less fatigue, so they went against the minimalist trend of the time and built in far more cushioning. The name comes from a Maori phrase meaning to fly over the earth.

That maximalist idea, an oversized midsole with soft, deep cushioning, is still what Hoka is known for. Paired with a rocker-shaped sole that smooths each stride, it helps reduce impact over long distances. The range now covers road and trail running, walking and recovery footwear for every kind of runner.
