Description

The combination of dome style and short transverse ridge pole offers flexible living, cooking and storage space with excellent internal height and width that allows the two occupants to sit side by side.


The twin doors allow each camper easy access and options in door opening to shelter from the wind as well as delivering excellent cross ventilation through the mesh panels in the doors. Locking tips and twin eyelets in sturdy webbing secure the internal poles, with the ridge pole located in a rugged pole sleeve.

Robens Wind TestThe determination of the performance of a Robens tent in wind is based on the knowledge and technique available to Robens at the time of testing. During the test we register the maximum (MAX) speed impact a tent was subjected and the average (AVG) wind speed at which structural instability occurred. This may appear as a broken/deformed pole, or the collapse of the tent and subsequent return to shape when the wind drops. At no point was any form of catastrophic failure experienced up to the maximum wind speed.

About the brand

Robens

Robens is a German outdoor brand, founded in 1973 by Klaus Robens and his wife at their home in Wentorf, where the office was in the basement and tents were displayed on the front lawn. Drawing on a lifetime spent camping and kayaking, they set out to make dependable gear at fair prices, and from 1988 worked with designer Olaf Bracht to refine it.

Since 2000 Robens has been part of Danish company Oase Outdoors, alongside Outwell and Easy Camp, giving it serious testing facilities where tents face wind and rain machines and a design that fails goes back to the drawing board. The range runs from lightweight solo trekking tents to large polycotton tipis, with a Scandinavian design feel throughout.
