Description

Reliable navigation starts with a compass that is easy to read against a map. The Trekmates Explorer Compass uses a classic baseplate design with a rotating bezel marked in two-degree graduations, plus 1:25,000 and 1:50,000 Romer scales for common walking maps.

A built-in magnifier helps with smaller map detail, while luminous needle markings aid visibility after dark. A centimetre ruler, orienteering cut-outs and included neck cord complete a practical navigation tool for hiking and hillwalking.

About the brand

Trekmates

Trekmates is a British outdoor accessories specialist, established in 1997, known for gloves, hats and gaiters that balance price with real trail performance. Its DRY waterproof membrane and GORE-TEX-lined pieces keep hands and heads dry through the sudden, changeable rain an Irish hillwalk tends to throw at you.

The range runs from cold-weather and waterproof gloves to summer and winter hats, walking gaiters, trekking poles and compact headtorches, with multi-functional features that carry across hiking, camping and everyday use. It suits everyone from first-time walkers building out their gear to regulars who just want a dependable spare pair of gloves or a gaiter that holds up.

Shop Trekmates online at 53 Degrees North with nationwide delivery across Ireland. Visit us in-store at Blanchardstown, Carrickmines, Cork City Centre or Arnotts Dublin City Centre, or use our Click & Collect service for fast, hassle-free pickup.
