Description

Long days on the trail call for cushioning that stays comfortable without giving up grip or weather protection. The Hoka Men's Kaha 3 GORE-TEX Hiking Boots combine a waterproof nubuck-leather upper with GORE-TEX Invisible Fit, a membrane construction bonded closely to the upper to keep water out while reducing excess bulk around the foot. A plush sockliner and dual-density midsole containing 30% sugarcane EVA help soften repeated impact, while the Achilles-friendly heel collar is shaped to reduce pressure at the back of the ankle.

Underfoot, a one-piece Vibram® Megagrip outsole with Traction Lug geometry and 4mm lugs provides dependable contact on loose and uneven ground. Hubble® Heel and SwallowTail™ shaping extend the rear platform for smoother landings, while MetaRocker™ geometry and integrated flex grooves encourage a more natural transition through each step. Quick-lace metal top hooks make it easier to secure the boot, and a reinforced toe cap adds protection when the terrain becomes rougher.

About the brand

Hoka

Hoka, originally Hoka One One, is a running brand founded in 2009 in Annecy, France, by Nicolas Mermoud and Jean-Luc Diard, two trail runners who had previously worked at Salomon. They wanted a shoe that let them run downhill faster and with less fatigue, so they went against the minimalist trend of the time and built in far more cushioning. The name comes from a Maori phrase meaning to fly over the earth.

That maximalist idea, an oversized midsole with soft, deep cushioning, is still what Hoka is known for. Paired with a rocker-shaped sole that smooths each stride, it helps reduce impact over long distances. The range now covers road and trail running, walking and recovery footwear for every kind of runner.
