Damp down loses loft quickly, so restoring water repellency can make a real difference to warmth in wet conditions. Nikwax Down Proof Wash-In Waterproofer adds durable water repellency to both the outer fabric and the down fill of insulated jackets and sleeping bags, helping the insulation resist moisture while maintaining breathability and loft.

The wash-in treatment is designed for both conventional and hydrophobic down and can be applied in a washing machine or by hand. For best results, clean the item first with Nikwax Down Wash Direct, then proof it while still wet so the treatment can distribute evenly through the garment or sleeping bag.
