Description

Comfort over everyday miles is the strength of the Meindl Men's Padua GORE-TEX Walking Shoes. Supple leather uppers give the shoe a supportive feel without the bulk of a hiking boot, while the GORE-TEX lining uses a waterproof, breathable membrane to keep rain out and let moisture vapour escape. A removable cushioned footbed and soft EVA wedge absorb impact underfoot for easier walking on firm surfaces.

The sole is shaped with an integrated roller to encourage a natural rolling motion through each step, while the grippy Meindl profile outsole adds dependable traction. Lightweight construction keeps the Padua practical for city walking, travel and lower-level paths where comfort and weather protection matter more than heavy-duty mountain support.

About the brand

Meindl

Meindl is a German bootmaker based in Kirchanschoring, in the Bavarian Alps, where the Meindl family has made shoes since Petrus Meindl was recorded as a shoemaker in 1683. The company as it is known today was founded in 1928, and it remains family-run, one of the last boot factories still producing in Germany.

Meindl is best known for hiking and mountain boots, still largely handcrafted from leather by master shoemakers. The brand was among the first to build a GORE-TEX membrane into a boot, and created the A to D terrain grading system used to match footwear to the ground it is made for. Comfort, careful fit and long-lasting, resoleable construction run through the range.
