Should I size up for thick winter socks?

These boots are cut with a little room for a thicker sock, so your usual size is normally right, but if you plan to wear heavy thermal socks it is worth trying a half size up. You still want a secure heel so the boot does not slip on slushy ground. Leaving a little wiggle room at the toes also helps, as warm air around the toes keeps them warmer.
