Description

Extra room through the forefoot can make long walking days considerably more comfortable. The Meindl Men's Trento GORE-TEX Boots use Meindl's Comfort Fit shape to create a broader toe area while keeping the heel securely held for stability on tracks and trails. A waxed nubuck-leather upper gives the boot durable structure, while the GORE-TEX lining forms a waterproof, breathable barrier for wet conditions.

Inside, the Comfort Fit footbed combines cork and fleece to support the foot on a broad, comfortable platform. The Meindl Comfort Hiker II sole adds dependable grip and underfoot protection for varied lower-level terrain, and the softer cuff reduces pressure around the ankle. At a listed 680g per shoe, the Trento balances substantial support with the comfort needed for regular 2–3 season walking.

About the brand

Meindl

Meindl is a German bootmaker based in Kirchanschoring, in the Bavarian Alps, where the Meindl family has made shoes since Petrus Meindl was recorded as a shoemaker in 1683. The company as it is known today was founded in 1928, and it remains family-run, one of the last boot factories still producing in Germany.

Meindl is best known for hiking and mountain boots, still largely handcrafted from leather by master shoemakers. The brand was among the first to build a GORE-TEX membrane into a boot, and created the A to D terrain grading system used to match footwear to the ground it is made for. Comfort, careful fit and long-lasting, resoleable construction run through the range.
