When the forecast is unreliable, the Berghaus Men's Pacsmart 2.5L Waterproof Trousers give you lightweight rain protection that is easy to carry and quick to pull on. Pertex® Shield Pro 2.5-layer fabric combines waterproof protection with high breathability, helping keep rain out while managing moisture during active walking and hiking.

Three-quarter-length side zips make the trousers easier to put on over footwear and can be opened for extra ventilation, while double press-stud closures help secure the lower leg. An elasticated waist keeps the fit simple over walking layers, and the supplied stuff sack lets the trousers pack away neatly when conditions improve. With a 30,000mm hydrostatic-head rating and 13,000g/m²/24hrs breathability, they are built for serious wet-weather use without unnecessary bulk.

About the brand

Berghaus

Berghaus is a British outdoor brand, founded in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1966 by climbers Peter Lockey and Gordon Davison. Frustrated by the gear available at the time, they began designing their own, and named the brand Berghaus, German for mountain house. Decades of innovation followed, tested on the rain-soaked fells of northern England.

Berghaus was the first brand in Europe to use GORE-TEX and the maker of the pioneering Cyclops internal-frame rucksack. Today it produces waterproof jackets, fleeces, insulated layers, baselayers and packs for men, women and children. Much of the performance comes from its own technology, including AQ2 waterproofing and the Extrem range built for the most demanding conditions.
