Description
Comfort and control are the focus of the Columbia Women's Peakfreak Hera II OutDry Hiking Shoes, with a women-specific fit designed for long days on mixed trails. A multi-mesh upper uses targeted comfort zones for support and airflow, while the NAVIC FIT SYSTEM™ holds the midfoot securely and a Met Flex window lets the forefoot move more naturally on climbs and descents.
OutDry™ bonds a waterproof-breathable membrane to the outer construction so rain, wet grass and shallow water stay outside while heat and moisture vapour can escape. The laces themselves are not waterproof, but the sealed construction around the foot is built to keep wet weather from soaking through the shoe.
Underfoot, a moulded Techlite™ Eco insole uses 20% recycled content for durable cushioning and support. Techlite+™ in the midsole adds responsive cushioning and stability, while the midfoot outsole wrap-up gives extra support on uneven ground without restricting the flexible forefoot.
The Adapt Trax™ outsole uses 4 mm multi-directional lugs with opposing front and rear angles to generate grip in wet and dry conditions. That combination of waterproof protection, targeted fit, cushioning and trail traction makes the Hera II a versatile hiking shoe for varied gradients and changing surfaces.
