Description
The Forerunner 170 Music is a GPS running watch built for people who want the full training picture from their wrist. It pairs a bright 1.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen with GPS, wrist-based heart rate and up to 10 days of battery between charges, so your runs, your sleep and your day all get tracked from the one watch.
The Music edition is the one to reach for if you would rather leave your phone at home. It holds around 4GB of offline tracks from Spotify, Amazon Music or Deezer, so you can head out with your playlist on your wrist, a pair of Bluetooth headphones and nothing else to carry.
For training it carries the running tools Garmin is known for. It reads your recovery and tells you whether today is a day to push or ease off, adapts your suggested workouts as your fitness changes, and measures the finer detail of your form and pacing so you can see progress across a season rather than a single run. Race Predictor and PacePro lend a hand on the day itself.
Off the run it works as an everyday watch, with Garmin Pay for contactless, smart notifications and safety features like incident detection and LiveTrack. Everything syncs to the free Garmin Connect app, with no subscription to pay, and it is swim-safe to 5 ATM so it stays on for the pool too.
The Forerunner 170 is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose or monitor any medical condition. Pulse Ox is not available in all countries.
