Forerunner 70 Running Smartwatch

The Forerunner 70 is an easy-to-use GPS running watch for people finding their feet with running and training. It has a bright 1.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen, built-in GPS and wrist-based heart rate, and up to 13 days of battery in smartwatch mode, so it keeps tracking your runs, your sleep and your day for well over a week between charges.

For training it carries the running tools Garmin is known for. It suggests workouts that adapt to how you are recovering, reads your training readiness so you know when to push or ease off, and measures wrist-based running power and dynamics so you can see how your form and effort change over time. Race Predictor and PacePro help when you are working towards a distance.

Day to day it tracks your steps, sleep, stress and Body Battery, with Health Snapshot and morning and evening reports pulling it together in the free Garmin Connect app. There is no subscription to pay. It handles over 80 activities beyond running, from HIIT and strength to yoga, and it is swim-safe to 5 ATM.
