Description

Built specifically for solo bikepacking, the MSR Hubba Hubba Bikepack 1 combines a 0.93 kg minimum weight with short-folding DAC poles and a seam-taped handlebar bag designed for flat or drop bars. The removable handlebar spacers and headtube bungee help keep the packed tent stable while preserving useful space around your controls and accessories.

At camp, the freestanding design opens into a true rectangular 1.67 m² floor with 97 cm of peak height and a 0.82 m² side-entry vestibule. A StayDry™ vestibule door with kickstand vent supports airflow, while oversized storage pockets, cable ports and interior/exterior clotheslines keep riding kit organised. Packed weight is 1.27 kg and the complete tent packs to 36 x 17 x 11 cm.

About the brand

MSR

MSR, short for Mountain Safety Research, is an American brand founded in 1969 in Seattle by engineer and lifelong mountaineer Larry Penberthy. It began not as a product but as a crusade: Penberthy started testing climbing equipment and publishing a safety newsletter after finding that gear was often failing when it mattered most.

That obsession with reliability became a company known for hard-wearing, technical kit. MSR built its name on backcountry stoves, starting with the Model 9 in 1973 and later the WhisperLite, and went on to make water filters, snowshoes and tents trusted on expeditions worldwide. Now part of Cascade Designs and still based in Seattle, MSR makes lightweight, engineering-led gear for everyone from weekend campers to serious mountaineers.
