Description

The Scarpa Men's Manta Tech GTX is the latest evolution of the award-winning Manta line: an insulated B2 mountaineering boot for high-altitude climbs, glacier travel and winter ascents. A 3 mm water-resistant Perwanger suede upper with a full-perimeter rubber and PU rand is paired with a GORE-TEX Insulated Comfort Footwear lining for waterproofing and thermal protection.

The Vibram Mulaz S sole unit has a Vibram MONT rubber outsole with a climbing zone for scrambling and via ferrata, and a TPU heel insert takes semi-automatic (C2) crampons. An ergonomic elastic-fabric collar and EXO ankle padding add support and structure, and larger heel pull tabs are easier to use with gloves on.

About the brand

Scarpa

Scarpa is an Italian footwear brand, founded in 1938 in Asolo, in the Dolomite foothills of northern Italy. The name is an acronym for Societa Calzaturiera Asolana Riunita Pedemontana Anonima, and the original idea was to bring together the area's best shoemakers under one roof. Since 1956 it has been owned and run by the Parisotto family, still based in the same part of Italy.

Scarpa is best known for mountaineering boots, rock climbing shoes and ski touring boots, alongside hiking and trail running footwear. It was among the first to design footwear specifically for climbing and mountaineering, and the range still balances traditional Italian craftsmanship with technical innovation and a reputation for durability and fit.
