Description

Strong insulation and proper ski-specific detailing make The North Face Men's Cirque Down Jacket a capable choice for cold days on the mountain. The body uses 550-fill goose down for warmth with less weight, while targeted Heatseeker™ Advanced synthetic insulation supports areas that benefit from durable, compressible performance. The outer fabric provides waterproof protection, although the seams are not taped.

A helmet-compatible hood, brushed inner collar and integrated wrist gaiters help seal in comfort, while underarm vents release excess heat during harder efforts. The snap-down powder skirt includes silicone grip tape and a jacket-to-trouser clip for better coverage in deep snow. Secure hand, wrist, chest and internal pockets organise a ski pass, goggles and other essentials, with a goggle wipe included in the wrist pocket.

Highlights

  • Waterproof DryVent™ fabric resists snow and moisture, but untaped seams mean the jacket is not fully seam-sealed
  • 550-fill responsibly sourced goose down insulates the main body, hood and elbow panels
  • Targeted Heatseeker™ Advanced synthetic insulation adds durable warmth through high-use zones
  • Adjustable helmet-compatible hood protects around ski headwear
  • Underarm vents release excess heat
  • Wrist gaiters, adjustable cuffs and an internal hem cinch refine coverage
  • Secure hand, wrist, chest and internal pockets organise ski essentials
  • Stretch powder skirt includes silicone grip and jacket-to-pant integration

About the brand

The North Face

The North Face began in 1966 as a small climbing and camping shop in San Francisco, started by two outdoor enthusiasts who wanted to supply serious adventurers with gear they could trust. It took its name from the coldest, most demanding face of a mountain, and that spirit of pushing boundaries has shaped the brand ever since.

Today The North Face is known worldwide for jackets, footwear and packs built to perform in rain, wind and snow. From forest walks to summit scrambles, its gear is made to protect you through changeable conditions and long days outdoors, whatever Ireland's skies decide to do.

That reliability comes from proven materials and technologies, including GORE-TEX for waterproof, breathable protection and ThermoBall insulation for packable warmth. It is gear designed to keep up, on the trail and off it.
