Description

Lighting and insect control are combined in the Vango Midge 180 Light & Insect Zapper, a rechargeable campsite light with an integrated UV insect zapper. The LED offers 180, 90 and 30 lumen settings, while the hanging hook gives flexible placement around a tent or outdoor seating area.

An IPX6 water-resistant construction suits exposed campsite use, and the 3.7V 2,000 mAh rechargeable battery takes around four hours to charge. Light runtime is approximately four hours on high, eight hours on medium and 20 hours on low.

The insect-zapper function has a stated runtime of up to 30 hours and a 5 m² range. That lets the light switch between brighter task lighting and lower-output evening use without changing devices.

About the brand

Vango

Vango is a Scottish outdoor brand, founded in 1966 in the west of Scotland by Alistair Moodie, its name an anagram of Govan, where it began. Still based near Glasgow at the gateway to the Scottish Highlands, it has spent decades designing tents and equipment tested against real Scottish weather.
